Welcome to the English Language Learner department!
My name is Christi Schmitt and I am the K-6 English Language Learner Teacher.
This will be my third year at L'Etoile du Nord French Immersion School and my tenth year in Saint Paul Schools.
I have a Masters in Education degree in Youth Development Leadership from the University of Minnesota and K-12 ESL Licensure. I have studied and worked abroad in Zakopane, Poland, Cheju Island, Korea, Volterra, Italy, and Reynosa, Mexico. I enjoy working with students from countries all over the world-
from France to Togo to Vietnam to Mexico!
I am also the Service Learning Coordinator for grades 3-6 and an Arts Advisory Committee Chair. Please contact me if you have any ideas you would like to share regarding community partnerships.
