“Kaposia” an original play by Paul Morf.
The play will be presented by 30 of LFNI’s 3rd though 6th graders. This play is being presented in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Minnesota's statehood.
Set on the banks of the Mississippi River near present day St. Paul, Kaposia tells the story of how a young native woman’s life is affected by the tumultuous events leading to the founding of Minnesota as a state.
The play features many important people in the history of Minnesota, among them Gideon and Samuel Pond, Rev. Brunson, Wakinyantanka and Seth Eastman.
When: Friday, January 25, 2008 at 7pm and
Saturday, January 26 at 2pm
Where: LNFI School Cafeteria
Cost: FREE ADMISSION
Suggested donation: $5 --adults / $2 --kids.
Donations help cover the production costs.

Film Festival
Born in Brussels in 1907, Georges Remi (Herge) created one of the best known characters in the world: TINTIN. Over 200 million copies of the 23 TINTIN books -- in 40 languages -- have been sold.
L'Etoile du Nord French Immersion school is honoring the centennial of Herge's birth this school year with a TINTIN film festival.
