- Attendance
is vital to the success of your child. If
your child must be absent, he/she is required to bring a written excuse (if you
can call school ahead of time, it would help out immensely).
-Students may wait on the first floor by the main door or go
to breakfast. They will be released to go to their classroom at 9:00 am.
when the school bell rings.
All
students coming after 9:15 will be sent to the office for the late
slip.
2.Communication:
Your child will bring home a blue folder with
homework, newsletters,
and other information. Newsletters will be sent on Mondays and be
posted weekly on the website.

3.Early
Release/Change in transportation:
If for some reasons you are picking up your child early you
must go to the office, and the secretary will inform the teacher.If you are picking up your child, who
normally rides the bus, please send a note informing me of this change.All
transportation changes must be indicated in writing.Please note that children may not take
the bus home with a friend (even with a note).Bus drivers only accept children on their bus list.
4.Bus and Patrol
Lines:
Safety on the bus/patrol lines is becoming a bigger
community issue every day. We will be discussing the rules in class during the
first month and throughout the year. Please reinforce the importance of
following school bus rules. Parents are notified of incident reports (pink
slips) given to the school from the bus drivers.
PLEASE, do NOT park
on Bush Avenue.
5.Parent
pick-up:
Children must sit
down until their parents/guardians arrive.
Parents/guardians
must pick-up their child(ren) and leave the gymnasium ASAP.
If parents/guardians
want to socialize or talk to one another, please feel free to use the
school’s lobby.
Do not block other
cars in the parking lot or park in assigned spots.
·School
is done at 3:40 pm! Please be on time!
7.Gym
shoes:
Athletic
shoes are necessary in Physical Education for your child’s safety.They will not be allowedto participate in P. E. classes if they do
not have appropriate shoes. Students may leave their gym shoes at school even
on non-P.E. days.
8.Breakfast
& lunch:
Breakfast is available at school from 8:45-9:15.Your child will be marked tardy if they are not in the room by
9:20.Each child will be assigned a
personal identification number (PIN) to put into the computer each time they
eat.Free and reduced lunch forms are
available if needed.Checks should be
made out to St. Paul Schools Food Service, and you may send in money or
checks daily, weekly, or monthly.Please, put money in an envelope and label it with your child’s first
and last name.If you write a check, be
sure to put your child’s PIN number on it.
9.Items
That Must Stay at Home:
Toys
distract students from learning and are often taken or misplaced.Please keep these things at home: gum, toys
of any kind (toy guns, cards, action figures, video games, etc.), money,
weapons, perfume, make-up, or fancy jewelry
