|  |  |  | | Musician Bios |  | David Williamson David Williamson has been a member of the Minnesota Orchestra bass section for 21 years.
He also performs at the Oregon Bach Festival, the Grand Teton Music Festival and with the Chamber Music Society of Minnesota. His son Sebastian is in Madame Stephenson's kindergarten class at LNFI and is a budding young bass player himself.
Brian Newhouse Brian Newhouse is the senior producer and host for the Friday night broadcasts of the Minnesota Orchestra heard regionally on Classical Minnesota Public Radio. He’s also host of /SymphonyCast/, a national weekly program showcasing the world’s great orchestras.
He holds degrees in voice and English, and won a Peabody Award for the seven-part radio documentary /The Mississippi: River of Song/; and he’s the author of the memoir, /A Crossing/ (Simon and Schuster, 1998). His real claims to fame are his daughters, LNFI 3rd and 5th graders, Ellie and Claire.
Arek Tesarczyk Cellist, Arek Tesarczyk has been a member of the Minnesota Orchestra since 2004. Arek has also concertized as soloist and chamber musician in music festivals in Europe, United States and Canada. He has appeared at the Kennedy Center and Corcoran Gallery in Washington, D.C., and Merkin Hall in New York. Other performances have taken him to Finland, Switzerland, Germany, England, Scotland and Russia. He and his wife Claudia are proud parents of Viktor (3rd grade) and Katia (1st grade) at LNFI.
Claudia Chen Pianist, Claudia Chen has performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout United States, Canada, Eastern Europe and Chile. She has been a guest on the Chamber Music Series of The Grand Teton Music Festival and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra; as well as Minnesota Orchestra’s Chamber Music Series at MacPhail. In addition to teaching at Macalester College, Claudia also privately coaches several budding young musicians including her son and daughter.
