My name is LeQuyen Tran and I am so excited to be your child's
5th grade teacher this year. I will be teaming with Mme Lacey and
Mme Anderson and we have planned a fantastic year of learning and
discovery for your child.
I have been teaching 4th and 5th grade in the Saint Paul Public Schools for
over 10 years before joining LNFI.
I grew up in Saigon, Vietnam where I completed my education in a French immersion setting. After living in Grenoble, France for a few years, I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, then settled down in Bursnville, MN. With a Master's in Gifted and
Talented Education from the University of Saint Thomas, I intend to challenge
every child and address all my students' different talents.
I am married and have two grown children and many pets. My daughter Vân is married and works in design at Target. My
son Chi graduated from the University of Minnesota and is working in Madison, WI. Our dog Jink is
bilingual too! She understands both English and Vietnamese!
I often travel to France and Switzerland where my mom and siblings reside.
I can't wait to meet all my new students and their families and friends!
